The Poseidon Dream
Poseidon Technologies provides network designs, network consultancy, and network management. We offer the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standard structured cabling, which supports the multimedia applications in a Local Area Network (LAN) environment. The quality of the cabling is the lifeline of any network as Personal Computers (PCs), switches; routers, software applications, and performance are all based on the integrity of the cabling. Once properly installed and by the correct standards, the cable installation itself should be guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years.
After installation, each cable will be tested to ensure that it meets the IEEE standards and specifications. The IEEE standard used for the Cat 6cable termination is 568B. Installation includes the running of Cat 6cables and terminations on both the patch panel as well as at the plugin location. Poseidon Technologies also provides Fiber Optic Infrastructure as well. All proposals and quotes will include vendor-specific product as well as labor to complete all projects. The products include the patch panel, Telco racks, cable management, vertical and horizontal wall plates, modular jacks, and type of Cat 6cable. Labor is based on the number of cables to be terminated & pulled.
Tools, labeling, and testing equipment used are that which are recommended and specified for use by the industry standard. All terminations on both the patch panel and termination end will be labeled based on the IEEE labeling standard. Printouts of cable results are available for proof of industry standards.
